65 lb white cardstock
8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock is available for printers at several stores including Michaels, Walmart and Amazon. It usually comes in 2 weights but the 65lb paper is good for these projects since we want them to fold as flat as possible.
Glue
Elmers (I have found to be the best) or other PVA glue will work for these projects. Be careful not to use too much and allow each piece to dry before moving on to the next step. For some parts you might find it easier and quicker to use double stick adhesive rollers made for scrapbooking.
Scissors or Craft Knife
Smaller size sharp scissors or a craft (Xacto) knife will work for cutting out the projects. For cuts in the middle of pieces a craft knife is more accurate but if you don't have one or are too young to use one safely a small pair of scissors can work. Just make a hole in the middle of the area you are removing and cut over to the edge to get a cleaner line.
Helpful Extras
For scoring fold lines I use a nail dotting tool and a ruler. There is a tool called a bone folder which you can buy but it is really not necessary. You do need to SCORE all fold lines before folding them to ensure accurate folds. You can use anything that will make an impression without leaving a mark like a paper clip or a knitting needle. I like the nail dotting tool because it glides nicely. Also a metal ruler is best but a plastic ruler is fine.
